Arrival and parking

The address for Yuletide is:

You will need to enter Tatton Park via the Rostherne entrance (use WA16 6SG for sat nav).

There is parking available at no extra charge. There are blue badge spaces in the general car park, around 100m from the box office. You do not need to pre-book these. Please display your badge whilst parking here. There is an accessible drop-off point in the stableyard car park – please follow the signage. Wheelchair access

The route is approximately 1.4km long. It is step-free access, with a mix of gravel and dirt paths, grass lawns and hardstanding ground. Although mainly level access, there are some slight gradients to the pathways (marked on our access map). Some of the route is along a hard dirt pathway – it may have some slight lumps and bumps of tree roots, and slightly uneven ground.

There are manual wheelchairs suitable for outdoor use for hire, as well as electric mobility scooters. Please get in touch using our access form if you would like to use this service.

Yuletide is an outdoor event, so in the event of bad weather we may have to change the route of the Illuminated Trail. There is a slight gradient when entering the trail, so please bear that in mind.

Lighting

The route is lit but this event is held in the evening – parts of the pathways can become a little dark and have lower levels of lighting. There are some sections with slightly uneven ground. You may need to be mindful when moving through these areas in low lighting.

Visual story

Download the visual story for Yuletide 2025. A visual story is an information pack with words and pictures which can help people feel more familiar with an environment or experience before coming. It can be useful for both adults and children who are autistic, neurodivergent or learning disabled.

Sensory-friendly sessions

On the 21st and 22nd November, our first hour will be quiet/sensory friendly. We will be reducing the capacity of the first two sessions (3pm and 3.15pm) to 40%, which means there will be fewer visitors during the first hour.

We will be providing a visual story of the event, and staff and performers will be briefed.

The trail music will be turned down low.

Personal assistant/carer tickets

We operate a free personal assistant ticket scheme. You can select a PA/carer ticket on the main ticketing page. We want as many people as possible to feel welcome at Yuletide, and we just ask people to bring whatever documentation they have that demonstrates they are entitled to a personal assistant ticket. This could be:

  • DLA/PIP/AA letter
  • Nimbus Access Card or equivalent
  • Certificate of Visual Impairment
  • Blue Disability Badge
  • Medical diagnosis letter, or a letter for medical investigation if you are undiagnosed

We know some people won’t have formal documentation that is easy to bring, so just bring something which shows us you need a carer ticket. We won’t turn you away at the door. If you have any questions or are unsure if you are entitled to a PA ticket please email access@wildrumpus.org.uk.

Assistance dogs

Guide dogs and assistance dogs are welcome at Yuletide. They must be kept on a lead at all times, and ideally, wearing a harness.
